The IrelandQCI team enjoyed a fantastic 2 days at this wonderful community event engaging the general public, sharing their passion and expertise on the benefits of secure quantum communications.
The IrelandQCI Quantum and Answers Trailer made a strong impact at this weekend’s Flavours of Fingal festival in Dublin – engaging hundreds of attendees with a hands-on look at secure quantum communications.
Through interactive demos and conversations, we helped demystify quantum technologies and highlighted their growing importance for Ireland’s digital infrastructure and innovation landscape.
A huge thank-you to the dedicated team on board the IrelandQCI Q & A Trailer who shared their passion and expertise with the curious attendees at Flavours of Fingal, no doubt inspiring future researchers, scientists, engineers and tech innovators – and of course – quantum questions were being answered!
Flavours of Fingal is a community event in Co. Dublin held annually by Fingal County Council, and the Department of Agriculture. Thousands of attendees come together to enjoy a wholesome festival of music, culture, food, entertainment and education. The IrelandQCI Quantum & Answers Trailer exhibited across both days on 5th + 6th July 2025, with over 150 visitors making their way to the trailer to curiously speak to the IrelandQCI experts about quantum communications.

The activities of the IrelandQCI Quantum & Answers Trailer can be followed across the project social media channels, where the general public are encouraged to pose questions to our quantum experts. While in transit, traveling to engagements across Ireland, the experts as part of the IrelandQCI consortium will be answering quantum questions such as ‘what are real life applications for quantum computing?’ and ‘how will a quantum network benefit Ireland?’
The IrelandQCI Quantum & Answer Trailer will be used to educate key stakeholders and the general public about the importance and relevance of quantum technology to our everyday lives and build the quantum workforce in Ireland to future-proof our networks through a series of lectures, training, workshops and visits to quantum technology laboratories.
